LANSING (AP) — Authorities say a 26-year-old woman and her 4-year-old daughter died from smoke inhalation after a suspicious fire at their Lansing home.

Ingham County Chief Medical Examiner Dean Sienko said a cause of death is still being determined for the woman's 6-year-old son, who also died after the Tuesday blaze.

Lansing Fire Department spokesman Steve Mazurek said officials consider the fire "suspicious," but a cause is not yet known.

Police and fire officials declined Wednesday to give details on the investigation or say if the fire was related to recent break-ins and a car fire at the home.
