Robert Louis Buck Sr., age 77, went to be with his Lord on Monday, June 29, 2009, at a local care facility.

He was born in Muskegon on June 1, 1932, to Clifford and Stella (Fielstra) Buck. He married Ann Keillor in Muskegon in 1955.
Robert was proud to serve his county as a Marine during the Korean War, receiving a Purple Heart. He began his contracting career as a brick-layer, progressing to estimator and then partner in Clifford Buck Construction Co. in Muskegon; until moving to Naples, Fla., where he was a contractor, real estate broker and developer.
Robert was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed golf and won several club championships. He was a member of the Spring Lake Country Club and Muskegon Country Club; as well as Quail Creek, Pelican Bay and Wilderness country clubs in Naples, Fla. His love for the Lord came later in life, and he never missed a Sunday with Charles Stanley on "In Touch."
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Ann; son, Robert Jr. (Elizabeth) of Bonita Springs, Fla.; daughter, Sandra (Steven) Moreland of Grand Haven; three granddaughters: Brooke (Bob) Melton of Tampa, Fla., Bailey Buck of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Jennifer (Dr. Michael) McPhee of Ottawa Hills, Ohio; sister-in-law, Susan (Bill) Arnold; many nieces and nephews; and the special caregivers at Sorrell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William and Clifford Jr.; sister, Delia Johnson; and his beloved grandson, Kyle Moreland.
The celebration for Robert will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with the Rev. John DeKam officiating. Full Military Rites by the Charles A. Conklin American Legion Post 28. Family will greet friends and relatives one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Lake Forest Cemetery.
