Retired police officer kills gunman in Burton

BURTON (AP) — A retired police officer shot and killed a masked gunman at a Flint-area poker room early today.

WJRT-TV in Flint reported the gunman shot out the front door of the Palace Poker Room in Burton around 1 a.m. before walking in and firing at least one round into the ceiling. He told the 30 to 60 people inside the room to hit the floor.

WEYI-TV reported two of the people in attendance were former police officers. One of them was armed and shot and killed the masked gunman.
