Lane closures on 31 at Stanton begin Monday

PORT SHELDON TOWNSHIP — Motorists using both northbound and southbound U.S. 31 at Stanton Street will see lane closures beginning Monday.

Single-lane closures will be in place until approximately Aug. 20. Stanton Street will be closed at the intersection and a detour will be posted.

The Michigan Department of Transportation says the closures are needed for the construction of indirect left and right turn lanes on U.S. 31 to Stanton.
