4 dead in crash on U.S. 31 near Petoskey

PETOSKEY (AP) Four people have died in a multi-vehicle collision in northern Lower Michigan.

The Petoskey Department of Public Safety said three people in a pickup truck Daniel Firman, 25; Christian Hunley, 18; and Aaron Hunley, 17; all of Gaylord died at the scene Thursday.
Another passenger, 17-year-old Andrew Erickson of Elmira, died Friday afternoon at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Police said a semitrailer truck was headed south on U.S. 31, south of Petoskey, when a passenger car crossed the centerline. The truck veered to avoid the car before it jack-knifed and collided with the pickup driven by Firman.
The passenger car then collided with a second semitrailer truck, leaving both truckers with minor injuries.
The Petoskey News-Review reported information about the unidentified passenger car driver was not immediately available.
