The fifth annual Eastown Fallfest will take place Saturday.
Organizers say the event is a fundraiser for the eastside community and a way to raise awareness of what kind of help is available for neighbors in need.
The festival will begin with a 5K run. Early registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the race will start from Ferry Elementary School at 8:30 a.m.
Runners can also register online at www.goracego.com
For more information on the run, e-mail 5Krace@eastowngrandhaven.org.
A pancake breakfast will be served at Grand Haven Christian School from 9-11 a.m. The short-but-cute WGHN Parade-a-Palooza will begin at East Grand River Park at 11 a.m. Food, activities, a Big Wheel race, pet expo and entertainment will follow at the park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A local veterinarian will be offering pet microchipping for $25.
