MIDLAND (AP) Drug enforcement officials said they have seized more than 1,000 marijuana plants worth more than $1 million from remote areas in six Michigan counties.
WJRT-TV in Flint reported Wednesday one man was arrested and 17 other growers are being investigated in connection with the growing operations in Saginaw, Bay, Midland, Gladwin, Isabella and Arenac counties.
Bay Area Narcotics Enforcement Team and local law enforcement officials said they used a plane to spot marijuana plants, which were located in farm fields, ditch lines, river bottoms and on residential property.
