Fire stopped under mobile home

CROCKERY TOWNSHIP — Firefighters stopped a small blaze under a home when called to the Crockery Mobile Home Park on State Road late Friday afternoon.

"The heat tape laying across the dryer vent caught on fire," said Crockery Township Fire Chief Gary Dreyer. The fire was put out quickly and "damage was minimal, probably under $200," he said.

The fire occurred at the home of Arnold Jenkins, 12 Barberry Court, and was called in about 4:40 p.m.
