'Tempting Tables' benefit begins Wednesday

MUSKEGON "Tempting Tables 2009" will be held at the Maranatha Conference Center, 4759 Lake Harbor Road in Muskegon, Nov. 11-15.

"Tempting Tables" is an event that showcases 34 tables and 20 personal collections. Using their creativity, local people are fashioning special-occasion tables and centerpieces of attention with unique themes.
Persons from Grand Rapids, Grand Haven, Fruitport, Holland, Hudsonville, Ludington, Montague, Muskegon, North Muskegon, Spring Lake, Twin Lake, Whitehall and Zeeland are designing and setting up tables.
The cost of a patron tea from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday is by $50 donation. A patron preview from 4:30-7 p.m. that day is also a $50 donation.
The public tour is 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $15.
Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Dr. Sofia Merajver, director of the Breast and Ovarian Cancer Risk Evaluation Clinic at the University of Michigan; and Dr. Carrie Graveel Dr. Charlotta Lindval at the Van Andel Research Institute in Grand Rapids.
