ALLENDALE Grand Valley State University announced Thursday another record enrollment.
The total enrollment for this fall stands at 23,892 up 1.8 percent from last fall. This is the 26th year in a row in which GVSU enrolled more students than the year before.
The university's incoming freshman class is at 3,938, up from last year by 410 students, or an increase of 11.6 percent. This new class has an average grade point average of 3.53 and an average ACT score of 23.8, which will likely keep Grand Valley's freshman class in the upper quartile of Michigan's public universities, school officials said.
