Bobbie Twa has recently joined the St. Patrick's and St. Anthony's Job Seekers Program as program coordinator.
Twa will continue her private practice as a career coach with Changing Directions.
The Job Seekers Program has been assisting job seekers in the area for 13 years. It was led by Stella Burns, who recently retired.
The program is funded in part by the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation's "Families in Crisis" grant program and offers job search assistance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It provides a monthly breakfast; Saturday seminar; and an evening "Leads, Needs and Networking" event for those unemployed or under-employed.
Services and events are held at St. Pat's in either the Job Seeker Program office in the Administration building or the Family Center (breakfast).
The Job Seekers Program also houses a Michigan Works! Share Network site with two computers for job searches. Mentors are also available for job seekers who are interested in having an accountability partner.
The Employment Alliance is also a part of the Job Seeker program and collaborates with Love INC, an area employer, a temporary service and a local trailer park to support those in need. The Employment Alliance welcomes area employers willing to provide employment opportunities to be part of the program.
