GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP The Grand Haven Township Board will resume its discussion on expanding Harbor Transit service into the township during the board's work session Monday.
Last month, board members met with a Harbor Transit Committee representative and Tom Manderscheid, director of Harbor Transit, to discuss the possibility of expanding the transportation service into the urbanized areas of the township.
The board will also discuss any budget concerns for the upcoming fiscal year during its work session.
A public hearing on the township's proposed 2010 budget, which includes about six special assessment district fees, will be held at its regularly scheduled meeting after the work session. Board members will also discuss the Hiawatha Drainage District that is to be installed following last spring's flooding near the area of Hiawatha and Lakeshore drives.
The work session begins at 6 p.m. The board meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Both will be held at the Grand Haven Township Hall, 13300 168th Ave.
