CROCKERY TOWNSHIP A Grand Rapids couple was seriously injured Saturday after their motorcycle collided with a deer in Crockery Township.
Dean and Linda Storey were riding their 2003 BMW motorcycle south on 112th Avenue, about a quarter-mile south of Interstate 96, at around 1:30 p.m. when a deer ran in front of them, police said.
Sgt. Steve Austin of the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department said both Dean, 64, and Linda, 62, were transported to Metro Hospital in Grand Rapids after the crash.
Firefighters on the scene said the deer was a spikehorn with 8-inch antlers.
