ROBINSON TOWNSHIP A 10-year-old Robinson Township boy suffered minor injuries after steering a golf cart into traffic Saturday afternoon.
According to Sgt. Keith Garvelink of the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department, the boy was driving the golf cart west on the road shoulder in the 11500 block of Sleeper Street at around 3:55 p.m. when he veered into the path of a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Jason Reichelt.
Garvelink said Reichelt saw the cart and was able to slow down before the two vehicles collided.
The boy, whose name has not been released, suffered minor injuries in the collision and did not require hospitalization, Garvelink said. Reichelt was not injured.
