No one injured after bus rear ends car

Fri, Nov 20, 2009    to del.icio.us

OLIVE TOWNSHIP — No one was hurt when a bus plowed into the back of a stopped car Thursday morning.

Dawn Cohn, 45, was waiting to turn left off of Port Sheldon Road near 136th Avenue when she was rear-ended by the eastbound Dean Transportation bus driven by 33-year-old Jessica Todd around 8:20 a.m., Sgt. Steve Austin of the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department said.

There were 11 children on the bus at the time of the collision, Austin said, but none of them were injured. Todd was issued a civil infraction for failing to stop with an assured clear distance ahead, he said.
