SPRING LAKE North Ottawa Community Health System's new ancillary service location at Mill Point Station Health Center, 601 W. Savidge St., is now open to patients.
NOCHS is providing rehabilitative and diagnostic (X-ray and lab) services at the Spring Lake location.
The move led to the closing of NOCHS' northern rehabilitation location in the Leppink's Plaza and its lab location on VanWagoner Road, both in Ferrysburg.
"Combining these services under one roof and bringing them out into a central location for a growing part of the Tri-Cities area is a great way for us to demonstrate to our community that we are, indeed, right where they need us most," NOCHS President and CEO Shelleye Yaklin said.
This also marks the first time in the local health system's 90-year history that it will provide imaging services in an off-site location, in addition to providing that service on the main North Ottawa Community Hospital campus in Grand Haven.
NOCHS has entered into a five-year lease for space in the facility that also houses two Mercy Health Partners primary care physician practices. While NOCHS will be next door to these physician practices, its services and revenue streams will remain completely independent.
The NOCHS lab and X-ray services at the Mill Point Station are open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and lab walk-ins are welcome. Rehabilitation services are available there from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; and Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment.
