Museum hosts preschool program Tuesday

Fri, Sep 5, 2008    to del.icio.us

Area preschoolers are invited to the Tri-Cities Historical Museum on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 10 a.m. to learn what life was like for pioneers who came here to live.

The presentation is part of a preschool program called "A Little History." Children will visit the museum's pioneer cabin and learn how families lived, how they cooked their food, where they slept, and what chores children had to do to help their families. In addition, they will have a chance to make butter, a task that was often delegated to the children.

For more information about this free program at the museum's Akeley location, 200 Washington Ave., call 842-0700.
