Free H1N1 clinic at The Lakes Mall on Saturday

FRUITPORT TOWNSHIP — A free H1N1 flu vaccine clinic will be held at The Lakes Mall from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Muskegon County health department officials, with the support of the Medical Reserve Corps of Volunteer Muskegon, will host the public clinic. Both the shot and nasal spray forms will be available. It will take place near the mall's food court.

Health officials say now is still a beneficial time to get vaccinated against the H1N1 virus, sometimes called the swine flu, because flu season can last as late as May.

The vaccine is also available at the health department, doctors' offices and pharmacies throughout Muskegon County.
