Western Michigan Christian won all the singles and three of the four doubles at home Monday for a 7-1 win over Muskegon.
The victorious singles players for the Warriors included No. 1 Jennifer Meloche, No. 2 Katie Meloche, No. 3 Christine Busscher and No. 4 Chelsea Feddema. The foursome gave up a total of one game in their wins.
The three doubles teams, No. 1 Katie Wilkie-Lorraine Downer, No. 2 Claire Steensma-Emily Rycenga, No.3 Laura Batchelder-Janelle Haegert, lost a total of four games in their wins.
The Warriors lost the No. 4 doubles by default.
WMC competes in the Division 4 regionals Thursday.
SL BREEZES PAST BRONCOS
Spring Lake made quick work during a tune-up match before its Division 3 regional competition Thursday, as the Lakers blanked Coopersville 8-0 Monday.
In singles action, Georgeann Larsen, Lindsey Gardner and Kristie Landan each won in straight sets for Spring Lake, while Michelle Meyer gutted out a 6-3, 6-7 (5) 6-4 victory at No. 4 singles.
Meghan Reiter and Katelyn Schram needed three sets for a victory at No. 1 doubles, winning 5-7, 6-4, 6-0. Mary Hamati and Emma Gilbertson at No. 2, Sophia Hamati and Ashlea Reiter at No. 3 and Danielle Fisher and Ashley Bond at No. 4 each won in straight sets.
Spring Lake improves to 7-5-1 overall.
