Grand Haven officer receives Eagles award

Grand Haven Department of Public Safety Officer Joe Schulte has received the Grand Haven Eagles' Reverence for Law award.

Schulte has been working for the Grand Haven department since 2001. According to Lt. Renee Freeman, Schulte is known for his thoroughness and attention to detail.

Schulte has also served in the National Guard and an eight-month tour in Iraq. He is a leader of the local Crusade for Toys campaign and is also part of the Ottawa County Technical Rescue Team.
