Northern Mich. soldier killed in Afghanistan

TRAVERSE CITY (AP) The Pentagon says a soldier from northern Michigan has been killed in Afghanistan.
The U.S. Department of Defense said in a statement that 22-year-old Sgt. Dillon B. Foxx of Traverse City died Friday in Bala Murghab of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device.
Foxx was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, N.C.
