HOLLAND Grand Haven actor Doug Chestnut plays the hapless husband in AP Theatrical Production's upcoming November dinner theater in Holland.
"Murder at the Howard Johnson's" will be performed Nov. 12-14 and 19-21 at Baker Lofts Event Center, 171 E. 24th St.
The show's three-person cast also includes Sue Ann Culp as Arlene, the fickle wife; and Michael Culp as Mitchell, her lover.
This comedy by Bobrick and Clark has been a dinner theater favorite for years, as each of the characters form alliances to kill the third. It is filled with sight gags, physical humor and silliness.
AP Theatrical Productions, a professional company now in its fourth season, employs regional actors and directors. Chestnut most recently worked with Central Park Players appearing in "The Odd Couple," "Inherit the Wind" and "Moon Over Buffalo." He and his wife, Linda Bengston, founded Voice Activated, a local nonprofit organization that brings theater to children and senior citizens outside of a classroom setting.
The dinner theater event includes a buffet-style dinner with beverage, along with the full two-act production. Special dietary needs can be accommodated by request.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for dinner guests, dinner will be served at 7 p.m. and show begins at 8 p.m. A dessert bar will be offered for purchase at intermission. Tickets for dinner and show are $30.
Guests may also purchase show-only tickets for $18. Doors open for show-only guests at 7:30 p.m.
Reservations are required as seating is limited. For more information, menu and tickets, visit www.aptheatrical.com or call (616) 772-5697.
