Spring Lake woman hit by car, injures knee

SPRING LAKE — A Spring Lake woman was hospitalized with a knee injury Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a car.

According to a police report, Margaret Lee Williams, 59, was traveling on foot in the crosswalk at the intersection of Cutler and Savidge streets in Spring Lake at around 4:52 p.m. when she was struck by a Dodge Intrepid. The car was being driven by Mark Anthony Brondyke, 50, of Nunica.

Williams was taken to North Ottawa Community Hospital with a minor knee injury, Spring Lake/Ferrysburg Police Chief Roger DeYoung said.

According to the report, the vehicle did not sustain any damage and no citations were issued in the incident.
