SPRING LAKE The village's Historic Conservation Commission has released its list of the best boats on hand at the Spring Lake Wooden Boat Show on Friday.
Best of Show was awarded to Carter and Bob Pohlman of Milford for their Mio Amore IV, a 1960 Riva Ariston. The Mio Amore IV also won the People's Choice award.
The Captain's Choice award was presented to Mark and Gail Andreae of Cincinnati, Ohio, for their 1936 Earl Barnes boat named Lady El.

Best Outboard: Jerry Alger of Fruitport, 1956 Aristo Craft.
Best Non-Power: Gently Down, a 2006 17-foot Hamelink row boat owned by John Hamelink of Holland.
Best Inboard under 18 feet: Unforgettable, a 1948 17-foot Deluxe Runabout owned by John Hanks of Grand Rapids.
Best Inboard over 18 feet: Tradition, a 1939 Chris Craft 22-foot utility owned Rob and Barb Schantz of Grand Rapids.
Oldest Boat: Norm Rosema of Fremont, a 1912 Old Town canoe.
Best Lapstrake: The Doodle Bug, a 1963 Chris Craft Ski Skiff 19-footer owned by Rob Kimball of Spring Lake.
Best Replica/Contemporary: Retrospective, a 2007 21-foot Hawkinson Tahoe owned by Tom and Donna Rudy of Wyoming.
Best Owner Built: Honey Burch, a 16-foot Karl Stambaugh-design sailboat owned by David Wolters of Spring Lake.
Best Century: Marsh Wood, a 1959 Century Resorter 19-foot owned by Casey and Marsha DeHollander of Byron Center.
Classic Glass: Dick and Glenda VanRaalte of Grand Haven, a 1958 B-Line Sapphire.
