Ferrysburg vehicles hit with string of break-ins

FERRYSBURG — The Spring Lake/Ferrysburg Police Department is looking into a serious of vehicle break-ins that occurred late last week.

Department records show that five separate incidents were reported from June 19-21 in the area of North Shore Drive and 174th Avenue. Some items were taken from unlocked vehicles and other vehicles' windows were broken and then items taken, reports show.

According to reports, items taken from vehicles included cash, GPS units, iPods, a set of golf clubs, store gift cards, a computer and credit cards.

Police encourage residents to lock their vehicles and remove any valuable items at night.
