The passenger compartment of a 1984 Dodge Ram 50 was damaged when the pickup truck caught on fire about 10:40 p.m. Monday in the parking lot of the Grand Haven E-Z Mart, 1 S. Beacon Blvd.
Damage was estimated at close to $1 million in a fire that caused "significant' damage to an Airline Road business, according to Fruitport Township Fire Chief Ken Doctor.
UPDATE: Rocky Schroeder Jr. did not enter a guilty plea in this case, according to Ottawa County Circuit Judge Ed Post. Schroeder was convicted by a jury, and he vigorously denied the allegations, Post said.
