Does the Grand Haven area need a sports complex, such as the one being proposed by the Northwest Ottawa Recreation Authority?

No choice for "No, but would like to see a publicly financed gun range built behind the Y"?

Between Grand Haven and Spring Lake didn't we just raise over a hundred million dollars in new taxes? Water and sewer goes up annually as it is so poorly managed, the library, Harbor Transit, Spring Lake Board, Bike Path, Tri City Museum and of course everyone wants new fire halls built. It won't be long before nobody can afford to live in this area.

Won't be long? Very optimistic!

As long as its funded with private corporate donations. Don't want my taxes going up any more. They are already $256 dollars a month!! And Admission charges just drive me nuts at school games when my taxes are already high enough. They will charge admission anyway at a sports complex and that is fine as long as its not on my property taxes in addition in the form of some milleage. But if its on my tax bill and then having to pay admission, just forget it. As long as its funded with private corporate donations and stay out of my wallet!

There is plenty of land at the GH Airport to put in complex. But that would be a huge fight. How much money has been wasted on this piece of land for the selected few???? But maybe they could use some of the Ottawa County Parks mileage to purchase some land for sporting events. They collect tax money buy up land and charge the locals to park.

Say no to new taxes

Tax, tax, then tax some more. When does this madness end?
