What do you think of the second-grader's suspension?

A student at the West Michigan Academy of Arts and Academics recently was suspended for carrying a Cabela's multi-tool pocketknife to school with him. His father said the boy had been practicing safe use with the tool at home the night before to prepare for Cub Scouts, and hadn't realized he'd left it in his pocket. The academy director said the suspension was required by the school's zero tolerance policies. What do you think?
