I guess people who voted they should can the show all together don't realize that these donations go to help some wonderful charities such as Special Olympics.
It does not make any sense that you would move the show from Harbor Island because of vandalism and then put it in a park with even less visibility like Coast Guard Park. I am not sure I understand that logic. Otherwise it is a good and fun show and I wish them the best.
Ok people lets use our heads for once. Logistically North Shore Dr. is a nitemare for any kind of heavy traffic. Now once you add in the abundance of wildlife in the area that just loves to cross North Shore at the most opportune times and now you have a real mess. Being a Ferrysburg resident and having hauled gas and diesel fuel out of the Buckeye Terminal that's in our backyard, I'm glad that Sjoberg stood up to all the fools that wanted to make this nitemare a reality. I m willing to bet that people didn't think about the 24/7 truck traffic that goes down North Shore Dr. These trucks weight about 126,000 lbs fully loaded and from experience they can't stop real fast. So if people want to be walking along North Shore Dr at night with these hazmat hauling trucks passing feet from them, have fun ruining their own lives along with the driver probably going to prison for manslaughter be my guest. Ferrysburg is too small a venue for an event of this size so kudos to council woman Sjoberg for saving us from a disaster waiting to happen.
