Nothing is too good for my kids. They deserve the best and I will NOT short change them. It is important for kids to be accepted and the best supplies and best clothes help to make all the difference. Let's help stop the bullying by making sure that much of the ammunition of bullies is taken away. Sacrifice your own things for the sake of your children. Don't be cheapskates when it comes to your children and their back to school expenditures.
Really? No wonder we have kids who think they are better than others. "...stop the bullying by making sure that much of the ammunition of bullies is taken away." Nice lesson you are teaching.
I do not think my kids are better than everyone else. In fact, just the opposite is true. That is why we need to spend so much so the money and hip stuff we equip them with can help to compensate for their short comings. My kids are not academics, not attractive, not athletes, not social stars. That is why I make it a point to drop a few grand to help prop up their standing among peers and keep them from being bullied.
I guess in a way I try to buy them friends. It seems to work for a few of them. A few of them simply are not helped by this type of financial prop up.
I figure what does it hurt to drop a few grand per child to help them with their self esteem.
Future Democrats in the making I'm sure...lol
If my kid's school goes to uniforms, you can imagine that I will be getting them the best dang uniforms in the world.
I think I am going to return the $1,000s of dollars of merchandise I purchased for my kids and go to one of those free school supply events. My kids really need to fend for themselves.
I don't know.
Now that would be a great lesson. Have them go to Goodwill and pick out their own clothes. If they are ugly already, they might as well get used to what life will be like in their future. Good Parent!
Besides, think of the back to school party you could throw for all the neighborhood parents with that cash back in your pocket!
Good point Wingmaster. I think the key here is to make sure that I come out looking like the good guy. That way no one can blame any of the problems on me.
