BOYS Junior Varsity Grand Haven scored a tight win over Muskegon on Thursday, thanks in part to a pair of late free throws in the closing moments by Connor Grimes. Grimes finished with six points and four steals for the Bucs (6-0, 2-0 O-K Red). Korey Searle had 11 points and three assists while Chad Mattson scored eight points. Adam Abraham had six rebounds.

Let's give it up for the college football teams from the great state of Michigan for picking up the slack in bowl season for the rest of the Big Ten Conference. If there was ever a time a conference needed to make a statement in the postseason, this was the year for the Big Ten - a league that desperately needed to shed its stigma as weak.
