SPRING LAKE TWP. — Officials are still investigating a New Year’s Eve fire that destroyed a Spring Lake Township man’s home.
Police revealed Monday afternoon that discarded cigarette butts were the cause of a fire that killed a 71-year-old Grand Haven man.
Emergency crews responded to Graphix Signs & Embroidery, 11223 E. Lakewood Blvd. in Holland Township, at 2:54 a.m. Monday when someone reported smoke in the area.
Authorities are now working to find out what started a fire that killed a 51-year-old man in Marne early Monday morning.
