The Grand Haven Area Public Schools superintendent and the Loutit District Library director have challenged each other to see who can raise the most money for their participation in Saturday’s Winterfest Dumpster Dive.
Tonight marks the start of Winterfest, and although there isn’t an abundance of snow in the community, festival organizers are not worried.
Winterfest 2017 set to begin Thursday
The 2017 event has been given the go-ahead from City Council, allowing for it to take place Jan. 26-29.

GRAND HAVEN — The rainy conditions didn’t keep local athletes away from the Winterfest Snowboard and Ski Competition at Mulligan’s Hollow on Sunday.
Laughter spilled into the hallway outside the Tri-Cities Family YMCA gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
