ANN ARBOR - Maybe labeling a college football game between two unranked teams in the second week of the season as a sacred experience is a little extreme, but if Notre Dame can believe in "Touchdown Jesus,' then why not a little Big House Intervention?

The rivalry between Spring Lake and Fremont on the gridiron has been considerably one-sided toward the Lakers the past two season because, for one, they've been far more physical at the line of scrimmage. Fremont pushed, shoved and trampled through that stigma on Friday at Thomas E. Grabinski Field, rumbling over the host Lakers for 367 yards rushing and swarming Spring Lake's offensive backs with consistent pressure in the Packers' surprising 28-13 victory.
