The spirit of Halloween was in full swing on Saturday during the Zombie Walk put together by the Tri-Cities Historical Museum and Central Park Players. The event, a benefit for Love INC Tri-Cities, filled downtown Grand Haven streets with hundreds of "zombies.'

With his team looking for a spark after giving up a goal late in regulation, Dean inserted Jon Buitenhuis, a recent call-up from the junior varsity team.

Spring Lake's varsity boys soccer team hasn't had the best luck dealing with Mother Nature in the Division 2 district tournament. A year ago at Grand Rapids Northview, the Lakers had to play through a driving rain storm with whipping winds in a contest against the host Wildcats that was also delayed several times by lightening. To make matters worse, Spring Lake had its season ended on the dreary evening.
