Division 3 powerhouse Shelby captured the team title at Saturday's Adam Provencal Invitational, held at Grand Haven High School. The host Buccaneers also didn't disappoint, taking runner-up honors and trailing the champion Tigers by just three points in the finals standings.

A total of 13 varsity competitive cheer teams invaded L.C. Walker in Arena on Tuesday for the Mona Shores Sailor Invitational - the opening competition for many teams in the area. The competition was split among three divisions, with Grand Haven battling against East Kentwood, Jenison and the host Sailors in Division 1, and Spring Lake and Fruitport squaring off against four other schools in Division 2.
