The burning of the family homestead today brought back memories, but really was just another event in the Homik family's lives. Joey Homik said she's dealt with more difficult issues in her life, such as the death of her late husband, Mike, and a couple bouts with breast cancer, to read too much into the burning of the house where she raised her family.
