Top 5 things to do this weekend

(1) Free Dinner & Movie Night — 6-9 p.m. Friday at the Momentum Center, 714 Columbus Ave., Grand Haven. You are invited to a free pizza dinner and movie. Other dishes are welcome, or just come as you are to enjoy dinner at 6 p.m. The movie, "Project 22," will start at 7 p.m.

(2) May Erlewine Winter Dance Party — 8:30 p.m. Friday at Seven Steps Up, 116 S. Jackson St., Spring Lake. Erlewine is returning for her spectacular Winter Dance Party SRO (Standing Room Only) concert. Tickets are $22 at the door. 

(3) Santa Train — Catch the final trips aboard the Coopersville & Marne Railway with the Jolly Old Elf and his crew. Departures are at 10 a.m., noon, 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23; and at 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24. All kids get a present as the story-telling Princess will read from “The Polar Express,” which was written by Grand Rapids native Chris Van Allsburg. The train departs from 311 E. Danforth St. in downtown Coopersville. Tickets are $19 for adults, $18 for senior citizens, $17 for ages 2-12, and free for young ones under age 2.

(4) Sunday is Christmas Eve — There are plenty of worship services at our local churches. Seek one out if you don’t have a church home.

(5) Monday is Christmas Day — Enjoy!
