Hope Athletics • Oct 27, 2017 at 12:02 AM

The Hope College men's basketball program will host two charity exhibition games on Monday, Oct. 30 at DeVos Fieldhouse to benefit the American Red Cross hurricane relief efforts.

Hope College will take part along with Calvin College, Davenport University, and Grand Valley State University. In addition, Hope College soccer fans can support the American Red Cross hurricane efforts when they purchase tickets for the 5 p.m. Flying Dutch home match against Trine at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.

"We are excited about the opportunity to team up with our neighboring institutions for such a noble cause," Hope College coach Greg Mitchell said. "This has been such a challenging time throughout our country, it feels great that we can come together and make a significant contribution. Credit to the NCAA for allowing teams to seize this opportunity.

"I'm hopeful West Michigan shows up to make it a highly successful event. In addition, the game gives us a chance to get a glimpse of where we stand as a team against an outstanding program like GVSU."

At DeVos Fieldhouse, Calvin will face Davenport at 6 p.m. and Hope will play GVSU at 8 p.m.

Basketball tickets are good for both games and will be general seating. They cost $10 for adults and senior citizens, and $5 for all students. There is a maximum charge of $25 for immediate families.

Soccer tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for non-MIAA students.

Basketball and soccer tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, Oct. 25, at 9 a.m. through the Hope College Ticket Office, 100 E. Eighth St.

Monday's basketball tickets are not included in the season subscriber package and no passes will be accepted.

Basketball and soccer tickets can be purchased during regular business hours in person at the ticket office or by calling 616-395-7890. There are no online sales.

Basketball tickets also can be purchased prior to the game at DeVos Fieldhouse. Doors will open at 5 p.m.
