Chamber of Commerce to honor 5 local businesses

• Jun 7, 2019 at 9:00 AM

The Chamber of Commerce Grand Haven-Spring Lake-Ferrysburg, in conjunction with five local units of government, will honor several area businesses at its 33rd annual Business Recognition Award Luncheon.

The luncheon will take place Wednesday, June 19, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Grand Haven Golf Club, 17000 Lincoln St. in Grand Haven Township.

Community leaders in each municipality have chosen one company/business to honor for its growth, creation and/or retention of jobs, increased productivity, community involvement, and investment in the community over the past year. This year’s recipients are:

• City of Ferrysburg: Ali Woodworking

• City of Grand Haven: Noto’s at the Bil-Mar

• Grand Haven Township: Acquario Salon

• Spring Lake Township: Busche Aluminum Technologies

• Village of Spring Lake: Weiss Chiropractic Wellness Center

The Business Recognition Award program, developed in 1987, was created to build awareness of how the economic health of Northwest Ottawa County is based in large part on the existence of businesses that have achieved sustained growth while providing necessary and high-quality jobs, and goods and services to the area citizens.

The luncheon is presented by the local Chamber of Commerce and the five units of government it serves. This year’s event is sponsored by the Economic Development Foundation, Huntington National Bank, Manpower and Scholten Fant.

All Chamber of Commerce members, governmental leaders, area legislators, media and past award recipients are encouraged to attend. Reservations can be made by calling the Chamber no later than Monday, June 10, at 616-842-4910.
