SPRING LAKE – St. Mary’s Catholic School staff and students have wrapped Jenni Gesiakowski in their thoughts and prayers.

Throughout the week, the group held two “color days” to show their support for Gesiakowski, who is battling breast cancer. By donating $1 to wear University of Michigan apparel on Tuesday and pink on Thursday, they raised $2,000. More than $200 in gift cards have also been collected.

Funds donated will go to the Gesiakowski family and Jenni’s medical expenses.

A Community Rosary event will take place 6 p.m. Monday, May 8, at 15493 Cricket St., Spring Lake. The group will pray and recite the Rosary to support Gesiakowski. Father Dave Gross of St. Mary’s Catholic Church will lead the event.

The community can also drop off financial or gift card donations to St. Mary’s School or Church.

If you’re interested in helping the Gesiakowski with meals, you can sign up online by visiting: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0d4da5a92aa20-sign.
