SPRING LAKE – The Village Adventure became quite the adventure for a handful of people who won bikes at the second annual event at Central Park.

Saturday's Pedal, Picnic & Play Day included hot dogs, vendors, free ice cream, live music, fire truck tours, Pixie Doodles art projects, give-aways, a human foosball game, free bike tune-ups, safety checks and more.

Clayton Milanowski, 12, was one of the lucky bike winners.

He decided to give it to his younger brother, Landen 9.

“Last year my sister won one here and she gave it to me because it was too big for her,” Clayton said.

Other bike drawing winners included: Merrily Groeneveld, Jill Gibson, Michael Brecht, Kady Ohs and Jane Yonker. Mark VanderMeulen landed the On the Path Yoga drawing for foot treatment and footwear.

Village DDA Director Angela Stanford-Butler said the second annual event brought many smiles.

“We had a beautiful day,” Stanford-Butler said. “The best part of the Pedal, Picnic & Play Day is seeing the community and our Village businesses and services come together and having so much fun.”
