A Grand Rapids woman who was arrested for drunken driving while on probation for a prior third-offense drunken driving charge was ordered to serve 270 days jail when she was sentenced this week in Ottawa County Circuit Court.

Both incidents occurred in Allendale Township.

Stacey Marie Nickoles, 41, pleaded guilty to the second charge Monday in front of Judge Jon Hulsing. An hour later, she was sentenced on both charges.

Hulsing noted, prior to handing down the sentence, that Nickoles’ jail time would be significant, because she violated bond with another drunken driving incident.

Nickoles said she wanted to go ahead with the sentencing because “I just really want some help for my problem.”

Nickoles was also ordered to complete 60 days of community service and was put on 30 months probation. She was given credit for 26 days already served in jail.
