Greenville man charged in October fatal crash on M-45

A 25-year-old Greenville man was charged with drunken driving causing death when arraigned Wednesday morning in Ottawa County District Court.

Benjamin Gladding will have his next court hearing on Jan. 10, 2019, according to Sgt. Michael VandenBosch of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

Killed in the Oct. 28 crash on M-45 in Tallmadge Township was Brooke Feister, 26, of Allendale.

Officials said the Allendale woman was driving east on Lake Michigan Drive (M-45), west of Standale, when a 25-year-old Greenville man traveling west, crossed over the center line, hitting her car head-on.

Feister was pronounced dead at the scene.

After being trapped in his car, the Greenville man was transported to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital, where he was is in serious but stable condition at the time.
