A 25-year-old Muskegon man was ordered to spend 90 days in jail when sentenced on retail fraud and a dangerous weapon charge Monday in Ottawa County Circuit Court.

Cody Michael-James Dame had no comment prior to sentencing.

His attorney, Bob Zitta, noted that his client was also facing a lengthy jail term in Muskegon County on separate charges. Sentencing on that case is in January 2019.

At a plea hearing on Nov. 12, Dame admitted taking two bracelets from the store, Celtic Seasons.

“I had metallic knuckles on me,” he told the judge when asked about the dangerous weapons charge.

Dame was also ordered to pay a $200 fine plus costs.

He was given credit for 42 days already served in jail.
