The Grand Haven Board of Education recently approved new contracts for some of the district’s staff.

“I’m happy to say we approved new two-year contracts for the administrators and the Assistant Superintendent of Human Services Scott Grimes, and a three-year contract for Superintendent Andy Ingall,” said John Siemion, the district’s school board president.

The board approved each administrator’s contract through the 2019-20 school year, and the district is currently negotiating with the principal/directors group about the specifics of the contract, Grimes said.

The board also approved contracts for non-association employees, who will receive a 2 percent pay increase for the 2018-19 school year. Non-association employees are individuals such as paraprofessionals, technology staff, lunch and teacher aides, as well as some staff in the district’s central office.
