GRAND HAVEN TWP. — Nearly 60 seniors walked across the stage, accepting their diplomas from family, friends and teachers Tuesday evening.

School: Central High School and Cyber School

Number of graduates: 38 Central High School, 21 Cyber School

2019 Outstanding Student Award: Stormee St. Bernard Sylvester

Grand Haven Rotary Scholarship: Mercedes Rodriguez-Magallan, Lauralyn Hitsman, and Eliza Christopher

Grand Haven Area Community Foundation Strives Scholarship: Collin Betts and Danielle Callahan

Commencement Speaker: “Life is full of choices, guys, and one of the best choices you’ve made in your young adult lives was to graduate high school,” said commencement address speaker Jacob MacKeller, an Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office deputy and a former Central High School student. “You also made the choice to attend Central High, which assisted you in accomplishing that goal. For many of us, our goal would not have been attained without the help of Central High School and it’s awesome staff. As you go through life, you’ll be forced to make many choices – some will come easy and some will be met with difficulty. The best advice I can give you is to think about those choices and how they will affect your future. Continue on this path of good choices, and choose to make the best life for you. Continue to believe in yourself and others will follow suit.”
