FERRYSBURG — Students at the West Michigan Academy of Arts and Academics recently had the opportunity to work alongside a cast member from the Broadway musical “Hamilton” to improve their own stage presence.

Lisa Finegold, the dance co-captain for the show’s U.S. tour, visited West Michigan and accompanied the school’s performing arts teachers to lead a workshop in which students could hone their acting, singing and dancing skills.

“One of our goals is to offer unique experiences to our students and the community that expand appreciation for the arts,” WMAAA Director Joanna Bennink said. “Our students getting the chance to learn from a professional like Lisa is just incredible.”
