A highlight of Coast Guard kick-off weekend, the Kid’s Parade took place Saturday morning, the 30th, beginning at 10:30 a.m. This year’s theme was ‘100 Years of Aviation’ in celebration of the Coast Guard flying planes high for the past century.

The procession began at Fifth and Franklin, turned north onto First, and East on Washington for the home stretch. Downtown Grand Haven was packed with families, as Festival Family Day themed events took place following the parade.

Some crowd-pleasers included massive bubbles blown from the Home Depot, cart loads of candy dumped from D&W and the Disney princess look-a-likes.
