OLIVE TWP. — A Muskegon man told police he felt something crawling on his leg and looked down just before rear-ending another car early Monday morning on 96th Avenue.
A 33-year-old Holland man suffered serious injuries in a car versus moped crash early Monday morning in Grand Haven Township.
GEORGETOWN TWP. — A Jenison man died in a fiery crash when his vehicle struck construction equipment late Friday night, according to Ottawa County Sheriff Sgt. Chris Dill.
PORT SHELDON TWP. — A 30-year-old Holland man died after running in front of a car late Friday night on U.S. 31 between Stanton and Taylor streets, according to Sgt. J. Douglas of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
ALLENDALE TWP. — Police are crediting a local resident with the rescue of a 22-year-old Allendale Township man after he drove his car into a man-made lake late Saturday morning.
OLIVE TWP. — A 59-year-old Grand Haven man was airlifted to a Grand Rapids hospital following a van versus motorcycle crash late Saturday afternoon in Olive Township.
In a case when less is best, the Grand Haven fire department’s rating from the Insurance Services Office was lowered from a 5 to a 4 following an extensive review process, according to Public Safety Director Jeff Hawke.
Thomas McCarthy III, 23, recently pleaded not guilty to a drunken boating crash that occurred in early August at a private marina in Grand Haven Township.
Firefighters were called Thursday night to a home on fire in the 15000 block of Hickory Street in Spring Lake Township.
